An exploratory location for fantasy tabletop adventure games.
Suggested rules: The Vanilla Game
Deep in the old Red Forest lie the ruins of a forgotten kingdom. These ruins belong to the Goblin King Abounoshar. The rumor about the Crown of the king being still in his coffin alongside him may be true… but there is only one way to find out.
A heap of stone and dirt blocks the way. Clearing it = time + noise.
Roll (d3):
1. Skeletons of goblin guards lie half-buried, rusted spears still in
hand.
2. A swarm of rats bursts from the rubble when disturbed.
3. A fragile support beam gives way, forcing a quick escape or
damage.
Walls carved with runes of loyalty. Narrow, suffocating air.
Roll (d3):
1. Simple trap: pitfall, darts, or a collapsing ceiling.
2. Goblin Remnants whisper from the walls; sanity test or fear.
3. Etching of the Crown gives a hint about its true power.
Rows of alcoves; goblin warriors interred with arms.
Roll (d3):
1. Silent bones — but one urn hides a useful weapon.
2. A Bone Champion stirs when disturbed.
3. The tombs contain treasure, but disturbing them awakens the
guardians.
Once lavish, now plundered; broken chests and scattered coins.
Roll (d3):
1. A mimic disguised as a cracked coffer waits.
2. A cursed relic remains; touching it imposes a burden.
3. A small pile of overlooked treasure (worth less than it appears).
The toppled throne, coffin of Abounoshar behind it.
Roll (d3):
1. Coffin is empty except for the Crown.
2. The Goblin King rises as an undead sovereign.
3. The coffin is trapped — a magical ward strikes when opened.
The Crown is always found here. What it does is left to the GM.
Goblin Remnant
Thin, whispering spirit; chill touch, hard to see.
Bone Champion

Abounoshar, the Goblin King
